Decodable stories and passages, checked word by word
A passage is only decodable if you can see what it assumes. In these sets the sounds taught so far, the heart words and the character names are printed on the page, so any word a child meets has to come from one of those three lists.

What “decodable” means in these files
It means three lists and nothing outside them. Each section teaches one new sound, reuses every sound taught before it, and names its heart words on the page. A machine re-reads the finished PDF and refuses to ship the file if a single word falls outside that scope — including words that only look decodable, like saw or for, where the vowel is really a team.
How to run a set in a 20-minute small-group block
Read the sound strip together (1 minute), blend the word list (3 minutes), read the story once for accuracy and once for phrasing (8 minutes), then work the comprehension page (6 minutes) while you listen to individual readers. The last page of every section is a review that reuses the earlier sounds, so a child who missed a day is not lost.

No, and we say so plainly. The sequence is our own, published in order on the site, and each set prints the sounds it uses — so you can check in seconds whether it fits the sequence your school already teaches.
Are comprehension questions included?
Yes. Every passage comes with questions whose answers are generated from the same source as the passage, plus a key read back off the printed file before release.
What grade are these for?
